This wine comes from a selected parcel of the Arbin vineyard high on the slope. A pure expression of the very unique terroir of Arbin. Very coherent with the other Arbin from Céline, "Mes Aieux" brings a bit more of everything. It’s even softer on the tannins and brings more structure and complexity. For many, this is Céline’s higher-end red wine. Young, this wine is all about red and black fruits combined with spices and pepper, with rather melted tannins for the Arbin vineyard. The wine is bone dry, and rather nervous and vertical. This wine has ageing potential. Already 6 years in, it gives some lovely mushroom-y tertiary notes that will please amateurs of serious wines and that confirm that Mondeuse is definitely a variety with ageing potential. In terms of pairing, it's actually a great pick for Duck breast cooked with sweet savours, or even with a cheese plate from the french alps. Typically great with Tomme de Savoie, Reblochon or Tamié cheese which have a cream profile that complement well the wines.
